MacDonalds: "They are open when others are not" Coutances Restaurant Tip by rexvaughan

This is not a blanket recommendation for MacDonald’s as I rarely eat there but we were very happy to find this one. We had driven all around Coutances looking for a café or restaurant, or failing that, a grocer or any store where we could buy something to eat. We were hungry! We finally gave up, thinking we would just go to bed hungry, when we came upon the Golden Arches. We went into a very crowded McD’s (putting the lie to the myth that only tourists eat here in France) and had a very tasty meal. I admit to some prejudice against this chain but confess the meal was quite. I had a chicken wrap I would eat again but don’t know if they are even served in the US. I recounted the story to a French friend when I got home and she told me that the France is the largest per capita patrons of MacDonald’s of any nation.
They are open 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Comparison: about average
Directions: Just north of Coutance at the intersection of D-972 and Av de la Division LeClerc
Price: US$11-20
Rating: 3
Theme: Fast Food
