Cuba Off The Beaten Path: 128 reviews and 136 photos

Soroa, the rainbow of Cuba. A UNESCO location, Soroa is located in the mountainous elevations of La Sierra del Rosario, about 70 kilometers to the west of Pinar del Río, in the small valley that forms the Manantiales River.

Among its main attractions are the waterfall (a jump of water of 22 meters) and the orquideario (a place for the cultivation of different species of orchids) where coexist more than 700 species of orchids of many parts of the world and six thousand ornamental plants.

The local history is also of interest because in this area took place an important battle of the War of the Independence, and the ruins of old coffee plantations can be seen in the distance.
