"Day Use Area: Open Grass and Picnic Shelters" Brooks Memorial State Park Things to Do Tip by glabah

Day Use Area has Open Grass, Picnic Shelters

The day use area of Brooks Memorial State Park includes a fairly large area of open grass, with several picnic shelters along the far west end of the grass area. There is a small playground located on the south side of the grass field, just past the restroom facilities.

The unfortunate feature of the day use area is that it is located far too close to Highway 97, so that the constant roar of traffic, especially fairly heavy truck traffic, is very close to this area.

Directions: Located immediately at entrance to park on west side of Highway 97.
