La Cantine du Troquet, 75014 Paris: "Delightful atmosphere." Paris Restaurant Tip by pfsmalo

We had an incredible evening here with a great atmosphere. The staff were super-friendly and as we were with a couple of rather elderly people, took their time with them ordering, not rushing at all even though there were a lot of people. It did seem as though there were quite a few locals here as there seemed to be some friendly banter between a couple of the tables. There is a menu called the "surprise" where you don't actually know what you're getting until it's in front of you. Everybody at the table must take this for it to work and costs 32€ pp. Of course there is a la carte as well which we took and worked out to just over 30€ pp inc 1+1/2 bottles of wine.

Nearest metro is Pernety.

Favorite Dish: Not really a favourite but I did enjoy my entrecote. Fries come in a bowl for the whole table, and then if you run out it's possible to ask for more, thus always heving them hot.
