Aberford Things to Do: 5 reviews and 17 photos
As much as the village is mainly residential but there are some interesting buildings:
The Swan Hotel - A former staging post for the Great North Road travellers
The Arabian Horse Inn - an uncommon name for a public house
Aberford House (where there are buried remains of a Roman fort beneath the house)
Cock Beck (a small river) runs through the village and associated with Battle of Towton.
Nearby is Hazlewood Castle and Lotherton Hall where there are connections with the Gascoignes, an important family in the area during the 19th Century.
Address: Aberford Village
Directions: Near the A1 and A4 roads and East of Leeds City Centre.
