Kikinda Things to Do: 12 reviews and 33 photos

Kikinda is also the home of the only children's theatre in this region of my country.

The Art theatre was founded in 1994, thanks to the enthusiasm of Dragomir Dragan Jovic. It was first located in the hall of the National library, but later moved to its present home, the old house built in 1933. After the death of Dragan Jovic, the actors stopped performing the plays.

In 2003, the actors Aleksandar Maletin and Milan Vujic re-opened the doors of the children's theatre and gave it a new name Lane (=fawn). "Three Little Pigs", "Little Red Riding Hood", "Forest Fairy Tale" and "Cinderella" are just some of the plays performed in this theatre. Sometimes the actors also put on stage the plays with the small ballerinas from the local ballet studio.

The plays are given from May to November, weekends only, or weekdays for schools (previously arranged).
