When I first moved to Barcelona, my Scottish friends frequented pubs and dragged me along for good measure. I thought it was bizarre to move to a foreign city and stick to your local flavors - but I kinda get it after three years. .....a lot of the lower priced restaurants in Barcelona are BAD.

There are plenty of Irish pubs in Barcelona, but Flaherty's is worth your while. They've got a plethora of beers on draft, an inexpensive menu full of comfort foods, a pool room and all that Irish ambience to spare.

There are even the occasional drunken bar fights, just for authenticity's sake.

Plus, as it's slightly hidden off the Ramblas, it's not quite as overrun with hen parties and the fanny pack crowd.

Favorite Dish: Stick to the faves. Go with nachos, burgers, quesadillas, et al. You'll be happy, albeit fat.
