"My itinerary" Top 5 Page for this destination Cardiff Favorite Tip by ettiewyn

Favorite thing: I thought I might post my itinerary here to show others how much time is approximately needed, especially when travelling on public transport. It might give you some ideas of what to do and when :-) Not all of this was pre-planned, I did some things spontaneously.

Day 1 - Exploring the city centre and the Civic Centre, including Cardiff Castle
Day 2 - Morning: Walked to Llandaff and visited the cathedral and village, walked back and took boat to Cardiff Bay. Spent the day there and in the late afternoon walked to Penarth to have a quick look.
Day 3 - Morning: National Museum, after lunchtime went to St Fagans until late afternoon
Day 4 - Guided daytrip to Gower Peninsula
Day 5 - daytrip on my own by bus to Castell Coch and Caerphilly
Day 6 - daytrip on my own by bus to Brecon Beacons National Park
Day 7 - guided daytrip to Caerleon, Tintern Abbey and Raglan Castle

After this I spent two days with a VT member, then went back to Cardiff for one night and the next morning left Wales.
