""TAWAD" or making bargains" Philippines Local Custom Tip by theguardianangel

"Tawad" in English literally means "to ask for mercy" but it has a different meaning when shopping or buying. Tawad is what we call in making bargains in small shops/stores. It's purchasing something best but on affordable price.
Just please take note that "tawad" is only applicable to "tiangge" (small boutique stall/shop), small shops and markets.
I always make "Tawad" especially when I go to the wet markets, Chinatown and Divisoria. Divisoria's 168 and Tutuban mall are my favorite fashion malls ever!!! Funny thing is, I still have this practice even outside the country, but I'm glad that mostly anywhere I go to, making bargains is common.
