"Uncrowded places" Europe Things to Do Tip by 68maciek

Here is my combination of relatively empty, cheap places. You may find some historical sites (I wouldn't rather to dare name them as big cathedrals) around and no big cities.

Generally 'former East' (some may write that Balcans are not appropriate for this division) is still significantly cheaper than former hostile countries (hahahaha). So avoid West (in case of prices including also former DDR).
To be precise avoid also empty North (as it is more expensive).

Sea:
Baltic seaside but only in Latvia, Estonia, a bit more crowded in Lithuania (Kuronian Spite). Mind you lakes and rivers there. Poland in summer is disastrous, unless you know emptier places.
Unfortunately you need a visa for Kaliningrad area (Russia).
Most of Turkish Black Sea coast (let's count it as Europe), further from Istanbul. It is often the combination of relatively warm sea (not like Baltic hahaha) and mountains.
Albania- I haven't been there yet but have heard that some parts of the coast are uncrowded, and the rest of this very mountain hospitable and beautiful country is free from any kind of hords.
Generally mountains are empty and cheap ( It includes free/wild camping sometimes) if you are a hiker not a spa visitor.
Czechia- Sumava, Orlicke Vrchy etc.
Slovakia if you only avoid any kind of name 'Tatra' you should be fine.
Romania- mostly all mountains except Bucegi and Fogaras
Ukraina- Karpaty (perhaps some tourists at Hoverla in Cernohora range).
It shouldn't be crowded in majority of Bulgarian, Serbian, Macedonian, Montenegro mountains.
