It was the first attraction we visited because our hotel was located opposite the building were thousands of people come and go non stop.
Hovedbanegarden is the Grand Central Station(most maps/signs have it as København H) is the largest train station in Denmark. As expected there are numerous fast food options inside, small stores (we took coffee many times there on our way to catch a train), train kiosks, money exchange (better rates during the banks hours) etc The area with the lockers was also busy with backpackers most of the time (have in mind its not open 24h). There wasn’t much light inside but we checked a bit the nig roof and we also took pics of lots trains but also of the area next to the station where there are hundreds of parked bicycles, I wonder how someone can find his bicycle there..
There are 3 different entrances, most people use the one that faces Tivoli Gardens, a lot of buses depart in front of this entrance too but we usually got in/out from the back side where our hotel was.
There are big screens showing arrivals/departures, we usually checked the small screens before we enter a platform to check where our train was. The station is very busy because it serves so many local trains (S trains), national and international routes. We were surprised to learn that sometimes there are some small delays.
Directions: city center, opposite Tivoli Gardens
