This church, located in the nice residential area Dresden-Klotzsche in the northern outskirts, is a typical example for churches built in the first decade of the 20th century (here: 1905-07). From outside the architect (here: Woldemar Kandler) chose Neo-Renaissance style, the interior is in Art Nouveau style.

The main portal (outside and inside) is of sandstone, richly decorated with scroll ornament, a pelican figure symbolizing Jesus Christ and other symbols for the Evangelists. The altar is of marble, the other interior (pulpit etc.) of dark wood in Art Nouveau style. The late classicistic Jesus Christ statue is a work of the sculptor Johannes Schilling from 1859, much older than the church.

The church is open May - Oct on Thursday 5 - 6 pm and before/after services.
