"Key Lime Pie-Frozen, chocolate dipped!" Key Food Tip by Marilu33

The one thing we most wanted to eat in Key West was Key Lime Pie. We'd had a yummy one in Charleston from the grocery store, and were eager to see if the local pie was even better. When our shuttle dropped us at Mallory Square we asked about it and were told that all the key lime pie in Key West whether in restaurants, stores or at food stalls was made by the same company, so we could have some anywhere we wanted and would get the same thing, but if we wanted an even better version, we should find the frozen key lime pie on a stick...dipped in chocolate. OMG...

When we got back to Mallory Square in the afternoon, hungry for lunch, we didn't see anything but a fast food stall. We decided to go straight for the gold and get the chocolate dipped pie. The proprietor of the fast food stall sent us a short way away to a beverage and snack stand that sold the chocolate dipped pie. We ate a lot of wonderful food on this trip, but nothing we had tasted any better than this treat did! I have photos, but none with the treats in our hands as we couldn't think of anything but eating once we tried them. What a sweet end to our day!
