This Chinched Bistro is an award winning bistro specializing in contemporary cousine. I went there tonight with some colleagues who were staying at the Delta Hotel. First point, if you are staying at the Delta its very close. If you are going to be at Mile One Stadium its right across the street and if you are anywhere else downtown its right there as well.

Some funny points but please don't let these turn you off! The food and atmosphere here are great but you'll see from the picture provided that the door to the Bistro is right on the corner. On the side of the building there is another door with an "open" sign. If you accidentally go in this one, as my colleagues did, you'll have the opportunity for some very xxx rated entertainment that appeared to be much more xxx than the famous Cotton Club which is also located across the street.

Anyway this all makes for funny dinner talk!

Once you get in the right spot, the hosting staff were all friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere and decor in the bistro are great and upstairs we sat at the window seats and that gave us a nice elevated street view.

So the award winning food! I can attest to the mussels, the pork, pasta, the pavlova and the Dark Chocolate Brownie, Bacon Crème Anglaise, Peanut Brittle! I tried a few of the items we collectively ordered. Not sure about etiquette but I enjoyed tasting them all!

Personally, I didn't find any of the food to rich, to sweet or any other descriptor that sometimes makes you not feel so good when you leave a restaurant. The food was great and despite my initial gut reaction, the proportions were good as well.

All round, its a nice choice for an evening dining. I had to drive from downtown so my apologies for no wine comments!
