Galeri Kayseri: "English books in Istanbul" Istanbul Shopping Tip by Deng249

When I was in Istanbul in October, I found this cool bookstore on Divan Yolu, in Sultanahmet area...Located near the Sultanahmet tram station. There are 2 branches located opposite each other on the same street. It has a great collection of local books in English, fiction and non fiction. They even arrange for your books to be shipped back to your country.

The name of the bookshop is Galeri Kayseri. (The signboard says, Bookshop). You won't missed it due to the location.

Anyway, when I was at the bookstore, I was recommended to read work by Elif Shafak. I bought her "40 rules of Love". Another one I was recommended was a book titled "Potrait of my Turkish Family" by Irfan Orga.

What to buy: Local books in English, either written by Turkish authors or foreign authors but the subject would be on Turkey.

What to pay: Price ranged, depends on the content. Non fiction may be expensive, especially on archeology.
