Lugano, S. Maria degli Angioli Originally the church belonged to a monastery of Minorites. She rescues the most famous Renaissance wall picture of Switzerland. The monastery was founded 1490, church later. The fresco painting of the passion and crucifixion of Christ is a masterpiece of Bernardino Luini.
