One of the most spectacular parks in southern Utah, Mount Zion is a lush valley surrounded by spectacular sandstone mountains. There are plenty of hiking options here, some involve wading through a river (wet- or drytrousers can be rented), others should not be undertaken by people with fear of heights. I did two hikes,

1. Angels Landing: hike to the summit of a solitary rock formation where the Condors soar; the dangerous passages are secured, but you shouldn`t be afraid of heights. Starts at "Grotto" trailhead.

2. Observation Point: a rather straightforward and not too exhausting hike to a panoramic viewpoint

Both hikes were spectacular and can be recommended. Apart from hiking, just driving on the "Scenic Road" through the park is a very rewarding experience. Shuttle service in main season!
