We had dinner here during our first stay in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It was a busy Saturday night and we were able to get a table without reservations (although we later saw people waiting in line for a table).

The food was very good – German cuisine – and the service was fast and friendly. We sat outside, which was very nice on a nice fall evening – it got a little chilly during our time there but the restaurant anticipated that and had gas heaters going.

I definitely would recommend getting reservations – we had trouble finding a place to eat that night and fortunately Zum Wildschütz had room for us, but I think it was only because we had come earlier in the night.
