This is not only my favorite hiking trail at Voyageurs National Park, it is one of my favorites anywhere. The hike is moderate in difficulty and takes you through a very pretty wooded area with a variety of plant and animal life; but also gives beautiful views of Lost Lake, Kabetogama Lake, and Blind Ash Bay. Blind Ash Bay got its name because so many boat travelers made the turn into this dead end and had to backtrack. This is a 2.8 mile loop trail that is pretty rocky in places. The trailhead is located at the Kabetogama Lake Overlook near the Ash River Visitors Center.

Equipment: Good walking shoes, water, sunscreen, a hat, insect repellant, a snack, weather appropriate clothing, don't forget your camera!
