"Maó Express" Mahón Transportation Tip by ranger49

Mahón Transportation: 5 reviews and 10 photos

The clanging bell of the Maó Express train became very familiar to us.. The Little Tourist Train stopped twice an hour outside our hotel and as we explored the town we were sure to hear or see it.
One very hot morning we deciced to take the train into town.
It was 5 Euros for a round trip.
We drove over the now familiar streets - some so narrow we held our breath. Many streets are cobbled so it was not a smooth or silent ride. The commentary was useful - pointing out things we had missed on our walkabouts.
We left the train in the centre of town to do some shopping and have coffee but were glad to take the slow train back to the hotel.
