The Monument to the People's Heroes is a concrete structure in the form of three rifles standing against each other at the confluence of Suzhou Creek and the Huangpu River.

The 24m tall structure was erected in 1993 to commemorate revolutionary martyrs as well as those who have lost their lives fighting natural disasters.

It is also a popular location for locals during the early morning who gather in large groups to exercise together.

Address: Confluence of Suzhou Creek and the Huangpu River.
Directions: Within walking distance of East Nanjing Road and Tiantong Stations.
