Our tummie's are full, so now it is time to head to the newer side and the Jesuit Church, the first large baroque Catholic Church built in Switzerland north of the alps.

The Church was constructed in 1666 and dedicated to Francis Xavier. We could see this Church often on our walks, a beautiful Church with two Onion Domes. The architecture was very appealing from the outside, so what was it going to be like inside.

No use standing around, so inside we went to see.........

Wow! It was very nice inside!
What I think is beautiful pink and white Marble is actually stucco and plaster, how clever and it looks so real! The pink and white theme is carried through-out the Church, intespersed with Frescoes!

Don't stay outside, THIS IS A MUST SEE!

The Jesuit Church is a major tourist attraction and serves as a concert hall while it has become almost irrelevant to local church life from a religious point of view.
