Note: this hotel is not to be confused with Angora House - a B&B with a similar name.

I stayed in this hotel in September 2011. The stay was part of a 3 week tour of Western Turkey by a group of 25 Australians. We stayed in several different hotels as part of the trip - this one was by far the worst hotel we stayed in.
It looked like a hotel which might have been 4 star about 25 years ago, but has not been well maintained.
Many of the facilities were badly worn - eg baths had been repainted - but the badly worn enamel could been seen through the badly peeling paint. Many of the air conditioning units in several of the rooms didn't work. Carpets in the rooms were grubby, with stains and were badly worn. Some tour members said that either hot or cold water was not available in their bathrooms. Decor in rooms had a lot of dark and looked old fashioned.
As a tour group leader, I had seen several of the rooms.
Staff seemed indifferent to the complaints when these were reported to them - though I understand that the rooms with no hot water had this problem rectified.

A buffet dinner was available, but the hot foods were mediocre - the salad bar was good, and sweets and selection of fresh fruits was okay. Several of the serving dishes were cracked or chipped however.
The whole place gave the appearance of being a run down and tired hotel, in desperate need of a facelift, and a complete change of attitude by the staff - especially at reception.
To be fair, dining room staff seemed polite and helpful.
In its present condition I would not recommend this hotel.
Don't believe the pictures on their website.

Unique Qualities: A family friend who met us at the hotel, said that we should warn our female tour members not to walk out of the hotel in the evening - it was felt that the hotel was not in a safe area, and that there was nothing worth seeing in easy walking distance anyway!
