Trio's: "For the last night in Gent" Gent Restaurant Tip by steedappeal

Gent Restaurants: 168 reviews and 220 photos

This is a very sincere restaurant- definitely not trying to create new-age trends in fine dining. It is a homey, tasteful place featuring Gent specialties. The formula has worked over since 1947. The only strange thing is that the lights were as bright during the night as during the day- it would have been nicer to have a more subdued ambiance. The Matronesse is a bit of a character. She's not big on late night reservations so don't try to book later than 8:30 pm (this was on a Thursday night).

Favorite Dish: Stick to local meat dishes. Their prix fixe menu offer good value.
