We love zoos and aquariums, and had not visited this zoo in over ten years. We were glad we did, they have added so many new things and aren't finished, with a huge Children's Zoo scheduled to open in 2013. Big Cat Falls is amazing; where can you be, literally, a few feet from a bengal tiger? Parking is a bit of a nuisance, and $12 to boot. Admission was $14.00 which is reasonable considering the cost to maintain a place like this. There is a lot of things for children to do, like the Treehouse, there is a stage for shows in the summer, and they can pet, groom and feed goats and sheep in the current Children's Zoo. The orangutans in the Primate Preserve were hilarous to watch, swinging around on their ropes. Peacocks walk around the zoo freely, and the bird aviary was awesome! The food wasn't bad, typical fare that is available at other zoos, who visits a zoo for the food anyway? The whole place was clean and there were many restrooms throughout.
