  Street "Nieve" vendor
by DSwede

There are several restaurants and cafes in town, many of which are adjacent to the main square central plaza. But personally, I prefer to eat the local way, which here gives you the option of really cheap but good street foods. The locals will often congregate near the ladies selling from their carts and those who have transformed the parks benches into their work stations.

Favorite Dish: Several ladies will be selling a variety of tacos, tortas, tamalies, etc. All are made right in front of you, fresh and cheap.

Also, if you have a sweet tooth, keep an eye out for someone selling "nieve". It translates to 'snow', but is the Mexican ice cream. You should pay ~5 pesos for a cone.

Address: Central Plaza
Price Comparison: least expensive
