About 30 minutes from of Comitan is the Cataratas de Chiflon. If you have your own transportation it is quite easy to get to and well marked. If you don't have your own transportation, the collectivos are not as easy since it is not a principle stop so most visitors will go by a tour van/bus.

Entrance is 20 pesos per person, parking is free. The parking area is about 1km from the waterfalls, so you will need to walk up the path and steps. It is not accessible to the handicapped who cannot navigate stairs.

There are two entrances to the waterfalls. On the main road, if you are facing up towards the mountain:
- if you go right, you can walk all the way up to the main falls and get drenched in the mist. Bring protection for you electronics and ladies should avoid white clothes unless they want a lot of attention from the locals.
- if you go left, the walking paths are a bit more simple, but you cannot go all the way to the base of the main falls.

Directions: From Comitan, drive south on HW-190. Take a left on HW-226 towards Tzimol. Continue on this road for about 30 minutes (past Tzimol). The signs will lead you to the waterfalls.
