Italians place a very high value on clothes and looking good. Cmon, they look sharp even when they are just going outside to water the flowers. However, when you see Italian officials in uniform they go all out:) Of course you have the ceremonial guard that safeguards the Italian President with their elegant uniforms with feathers. (these guys are real unfriendly about having their picture taken for some reason) You can also look at the bersaglieri, a unit that traditionally wears a steel helmet decorated with a bunch of plumes!

The cops look good, I'm sure they don't look so good if you are getting arrested. Ive even seen one police unit that has a cape as standard of their uniform. After all, Valentino and Armani were involved in the design of Italian police uniforms. here's a fun link:

Even when you are coming into the country, the customs inspector was dressed in a full uniform with all sort of decorations,,,at first I wasn't sure he was a customs inspector.

i find Out Things By Accident. LIke One day day when I was walking my mother's bench legged fiest (terrior's) and I said nado nado kipesh. I found out that is a italian term to not do that again.Resi and Riley stop in theri track when they say that term. It gets their attention very quickly. I Have a very quizzical nature & that was only to be considered as an example. I like to have fun good clean fun when getting to know someone. So If you feel any at least bit 'll apologize o.k.

A person - male or female - always looks good in a uniform. When we were in Bergamo, I noticed that most older Italian men wear a suit and tie out in public and the Italian ladies are smartly dressed. I even saw women in dresses driving their Vespas. very cool!
