Sagardi Cocineros Vascos: "Sagardi for the TAPAS" Sagardì Euskal Taberna Tip by Martin_S.
Sagardì Euskal Taberna, Barcelona: 7 reviews and 13 photos
The Sagardi have several restaurants and tapas bars, the one we tried was in the Ribera section of Barcelona and has both a tapas bar and a restaurant next door. The restaurant was empty and the tapas bar was PACKED.
Our friend Isa told us that it was the supreme place to try out the tapas bar. And she was correct, they had a wonderful selection and all the different ones we tried were great.
I must make a note here and "warn" you. Tapas is not a MEAL, nor intended to be a complete meal, so if you figure to eat tapas as a meal you will pay heavily, they are like the english canapes, a small tidbit that you can have alongside your wine or beer. But if you attempt to eat enough to make a meal of them you will end up paying more than twice what a restaurant meal would cost you.
That said it is a wonderful place to try out many different and varied tapas selections, I guess that is why Isa took us there, thanks Isa it was great.
Favorite Dish: The price of the tapas here was 1.8 Euro per item.
We had seen them for as little as 1.00 Euro and even as expensive as 3.00 Euro, so the price here is reasonable.
If you would like a bit of history on tapas, go to:
Address: Argenteria Street
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Get off at the Jaume I metro station, then walk down Argenteria street, it will be on your right hand side.
