Usually held in the second or third week in May is Armed Forces Day Operation Appreciation Day. It is a event for the whole public to partake in sharing the appreciate of our military families and their sacrifices. They have all kinds of activities for young and old and have many type vendor booths, games, mechanical rides, inflatable jumps, kid?s crafts and face painting. The beach will be loaded with military land and amphibious displays, including the LCAC, for people to explore and learn about. The EOD team will be on hand to demonstrate their latest equipment. It starts at 11:00 a.m. and last until 4:00 p.m.
