Tava ciger is Edirne's specialty. It is fried liver in tray. Aydin is the most famous restaurant with this specialty. During our day in Edirne, we have come across many restaurants having the same specialty in their menus, but there was a long queue only in front of this restaurant. We waited more than 15 minutes for our turn, but it was worth it. The liver was gently fried and it was soft and delicious. The service was very quick and friendly. Although it's a small shop, it's managed very efficiently. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are very big. Tomato, onion, fried paprika and pepper are served as side dishes besides liver. I strongly suggest fellow VT members to try here.
