We stayed here 4 nights in late September and couldn't not have been happier with our accomendations. We were in the twin room which had plenty of space and a nice sized en suite bathroom. We were able to see the 'family room' which was a double bed and a twin in a separate room. Very nice... we'll book that one for our next visit!

Breakfasts were wonderful with a wide range of items to select from. They offer the option of supper and the food was superb. Every bit as good as some high end restaurants we dined in elsewhere.

The dining room/lounge was spacious with great views. There is a fireplace and a nice library of book of local interest.

Unique Qualities: Within easy walking distance to a beautiful stone beach, a book shop, Bronze Age standing stones and a ruined chapel. Also a short distance from an excellent bike rental (be aware... Colonsay is either UP or DOWN so you'll be getting a workout biking!)

Address: West side of island in the Kilchattan area.
Price Comparison: about average
Directions: Drive straight off the ferry, keep going straight for about 3 miles. At the hard bend in the road at the coastline The Corncrake Cottage will be the first house on the left. There's a sign at the road.
Phone: 01951 200118
Price: US$20-40
Theme: Bed and Breakfast
