For a great afternoon stroll, check out Lake Lynn in North Raleigh. The park, part of the Capital Area Greenway, includes a 2.5-mile loop around the lake. And it's a scenic walk. Besides the beautiful lake, there are many creatures that call the lake home, including ducks, geese, herons, turtles (snapping and painted), beavers, deer, and more. Bring the kids and some old bread to feed the ducks and geese. And you may be surprised to see some hungry deer come out of the woods for bread with almost no fear of humans. Spring is a great time to come and see the babies - ducklings, goslings, and even some baby turtles swimming around in the lake.
