"Evening Standard" London Local Custom Tip by Paris92

My favorite thing about traveling is to get a glimpse of the vie quotidienne of whatever city I'm visiting which is why I got such a kick out of the Evening Standard. Given to evening commuters, it's left all over the backs of the tube seats so you always have access to one. I have no idea why but I loved the idea of these papers changing hands over the course of an evening. Something very charming about the idea of an elderly lady reading it, leaving it for a banker to pick up and leave for a teenager, etc. etc. I think I also loved it because while I was there every last page of every last paper was reserved for a story about the Royal Wedding and what could be better than that.
Interesting side note: Anna Wintour's father was the paper's editor in the 70s.
