There were several bronze vats around the three halls in the Worker Cultural Palace. They were used to store water in case of fire. It is the only way to help during emergency fire in the ancient time.

The Signboard was written as:
" Made in the Ming Dynasty with bronze, they were placed before and behind the three halls to store water in case of fire. In Winter, they would be lidded and heated to prevent the water from freezing."

In Chinese: 铜缸 (Tong Gang)
