Belmont Veterans Memorial Pier, Long Beach: 1 reviews and 5 photos
Built in 1967 to replace an aging pier on 39th Place in 1915 at a location know as ?Devil?s Gate? for an off shore rock below the bluff. The new pier was built of concrete and is 1,800 feet long and 24 feet wide. It has a hexagonal area at the end with two wings extending it 120 feet east and west. There is a snack bar and bait shop. There are also lifeguard offices.
When I visited there were so many families enjoying it with fishing and the kids riding their razor scooters up and down. Lots of concrete benches to sit on to enjoy the views.
