If you are making the trip between San Clemente and San Giovanni in Laterno this is worth looking at. It's just off Via San Giovanni and right near San Clemente but so very different from any of the other churches we saw in Rome. Apparently it used to be a fortified convent but now it appears to be a truely delightful, rustic and somewhat run down old church in a quiet (for Rome) back street. There is a charming courtyard and some interesting frescoes on the walls.

Address: Via Santi Quattro Coronati 20 Rome
Directions: Near the Basilica di San Clemente. behind Via San Giovanni in Laterno
