"On Wenceslas Square." Hotel Meran Tip by alectrevor

This hotel is situated on Wenceslas Square halfway along next to the hotel Europa, the Meran is a narrow building , which is pointed out to tourists has a architectural sight. Built by the Hajek family in 1895, but during the Nazi occupation became German property, it is now owned by Julius Hajek. The hotel is clean and comfortable , breakfast was good standard,i paid 1400 Kc [£49 ] Oct 2011 for single room and breakfast , which i thought was good value for an hotel in Prague centre. Handy for rail station or cental sites, there are 2 metro station nearby. Would use again.

Directions: main rail station [ Hlavni Nadrazi ] leave front turn left for 200m , turn right into Wenceslas square then 200m on right is the hotel. Easy walk with luggage.
