Old Town Artisians: "Historic Shopping Experience" Top 5 Page for this destination Tucson Shopping Tip by Yaqui

Tucson Shopping: 31 reviews and 29 photos

This area was once the main shopping area and still has some specialize stores among the historic buildings. It is located right next door to the El Presidio San Agustin del Tucson. It was once the stables and was built around 1850. Back in 1882 the residence here were assayers, clerks, nurses, grocery stores and a liquior store that was run by a local family who made its own spirits to sell. As we walked past the corner, there was this beautiful trellis of flowers, just on the other end was a courtyard and music was bellowing out. A very interesting area with so many hidden treasures.
