Brookville is a fairly small town located in Northwestern Pennsylvania, Just off Interstate 80 and on Pennsylvania Highway 28. Population is over 4000. Brookville has a nice historic district with a number of buildings of historical and architectural interest, some of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Highlights include the Jefferson County Courthouse and the Carrier House. Brookville is also home to the Jefferson County History Center. I also liked the monument and memorials dedicated to veterans. Brookville is just South of the Allegheny National Forest.
