Queechy Cottages are only a walk down the hill to St Helens. We stayed in a self contained cottage with a great view across George's Bay.
We liked it because it was private even though it is more known as a motel.
It was well appointed without the fuss--simplistic decor but clean and comfortable.
Rabbits love to hop around the veranda--probably looking for something to eat.
The electric blanket came in very handy,it can get very cold in Tasmania.

Unique Qualities: We liked the privacy that was offered, the full kitchen was amply stocked with plenty of crockery, cutlery and kitchen wares.
We enjoyed the small cottage feel and the veranda where we could enjoy a drink and look at the beautiful view.
There is a lot of accomodation in St Helen's but we would come back here again because it basically has everything,it is affordable and close to Binalong Bay and Bay of Fires.

Address: St Helens,Tasmania (East Coast) 2 Tasman Highway 7216
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: No matter what direction you arrive in St Helen's a big sign with directions is in front of the Queechy property.
Price: US$40-80
Theme: Motel
