Tapas 24: "The best tapas on our trip, but pricey !!!!" Tapas 24 Tip by jlanza29
Tapas 24, Barcelona: 3 reviews and 6 photos
Barcelona is filled with great restaurants but be ready to pay a premium .... TAPAS 24 is no exception .... lead by a former chef of the world famous El Bulli this place is a must for a foodie. First of all this place is small and it's in the basement setting ... so it might have room for about 30 people and maybe 10 people on the 3 or 4 small tables outside. They do have a English menu ... don't come here expecting full plates, it's specifically a tapas place. We had a truffle bikini sandwhich that was out of this world, had fresh cheese, and various other plates .... the price start at 4 euro's and run to 13 euro's for serving's of tapas ..... in order to have a full meal we ended up ordering amount 15 plates so when the bill came it was no surprise ..... all the food was great... the service was a bit stiff but not unfriendly ... and the wine and drink selection were fairly priced. The location is perfect .... right around the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Passieg de Gracias.
And the star of this place was the dessert ..... chocolate with salt and crackers and olive oil !!!!! UNREAL !!!!! it was so good we order 2 of them !!!!!!!!
We paid 150 Euro's for 3 with a bottle of wine and 3 beers ....
Price Comparison: more expensive than average
Directions: Around the corner from the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on the south side of the Passieg of Gracia.
Price: US$41 and up
