Wandering along the main shopping street in Taormina, I noticed a lot of the shops were selling Sicilian Ceramic's. These are very brightly painted, and all types of kitchen objects were made in a variety of colours. They would make a nice gift, if your sure of getting them home in one piece! This street is very crowded, so watch your purse!

Beautiful Colours Dee, we love this sort of craft. Have Sicily on my spreadsheet for Europe 2016, have been wanting to visit for several years, but have seen the majority of Italy so only want to fly into Rome and then flight to Sicily. What is the best month to visit to avoid the heat and less crowded. Then to England and France with a side trip to Norway & Flam railway for 6 or 7 days.
