To visit Red Square is to visit such a popular place with local "Moscovites" being the sight of huge celebrations mainly of Military content with huge columns of Military vehicles of all types along with massive formations of soldiers marching under the watchful eye of the Russian leaders of the time..
This is a huge square bordered by the foreboding walls of the Kremlin and on the other side by the massive Gumm Department Store..and near the far end of the Square is the beautiful St. Basils Cathedral with its intricate colourful domes..To walk on this square is to get the feeling of sharing it with so many others that have trodden and marched here. There were a lot of visitors to the square the day that I visited but it's huge area sees the amount of visitors as a few. This is an extremely popular place for not only tourists and visitors but locals alike.
