Once you have walked through the Nyhavn district you reach the main inner harbour of Copenhagen. This stretches as far as the Kastellet Fortress to the North and there is a path you can walk this far which takes roughly 30 to 40 mins.At the start of this walk you will notice the Play House set on the waterfront,a modern black building which replaced the old Play house in the city in 2008.Across the water you can also see the New Opera House which is one of the most expensive built opera Houses in the World with a cost of more than 500 million U.S.Dollars.It was completed in Oct of 2004 and sits on the island of 'Holmen'opposite the Play House.Carry following the path and you notice an old Submarine and Battleship across the harbour with numerous other boats and buildings used for the docks.Eventually you will reach the Little Mermaid and further on St.Albans church and Kastellet Fortress. Its well worth the time and effort to see so many interesting things and landmarks.
