"THE KROMERIZ FLOWER GARDENS -COLONNADE" Kromeriz Things to Do Tip by balhannah

Whilst I was walking around and enjoying the Kromeriz Flower Gardens, I noticed a very long Colonnade. This Colonnade serves a few purposes. One, is to walk in the shade on a hot day, two, is to shelter from the rain, and three, is the views from the top.
In previous gardens like this, I knew you could usually go up the top, so I walked to one end, and sure enough, there were steps to the top. Once up top, I could see an incredible view of the layout of the garden. My one problem, was the Sun, I was facing it for photo's. This was in the afternoon, so perhaps, morning is best.
This is the place to see the garden at its best, so don't miss it!
I walked the whole length, which is 244 metres from one end to another, giving the Camera a good workout as I went. Of interest, is, If a person speaking in a normal tone at one end facing the ending wall, he or she can be heard clearly at the other end.
Back down the stairs, and time to checkout the underneath. Impressive too, as there are various statues under it's arches of greek gods and historical persons, altogether, 44 antique statues in above-life-size, another 46 busts rest on the arcade pillars
It was a special day, so underneath here, was a Band playing, and out in the garden were seats, where people were sitting and enjoying the Concert.
What a lovely setting to have a concert!
Excellent views from the top!
