"MARIAN COLUMN" Kromeriz Things to Do Tip by balhannah
Kromeriz Things to Do: 18 reviews and 45 photos
Located in the main square is the Baroque Marian column. As in other Towns, it was built in gratitude for the end of the plague epidemic in 1680.
The column is decorated with sculptures of St. Vaclav, St. Florian, St. Roch and St. Moric and was renovated in 1716.
Near the column, is a fountain which was built in 1665 as part of the town water system. For some reason, they keep on changing its look!
