Favorite thing: This street in Ottawa downtown originally named Biddy's Lane was later named after Lord Elgin.
Elgin street begins just east of the Parliament buildings and just west of the bridge over the Rideau Canal and homes a business area, number of stores, restaurants and bars.

Elgin Street (Confederation Square) also is home of Canada's National War Memorial.

Fondest memory: Elgin Street is the ideal choice for staying in Ottawa for travellers who want to be close enough to everything.
