Laznĕ III, the Spa No. 3, is a huge palace by the river front. It was built in 1866 as the second oldest spa building in town. The style is described as English neo-gothic but I also see some neo-Renaissance elements in the facade, and even more in the vestibule and staircase hall.
The ground floor hosts the spa facilities. The upper floor, however, is home to the symphony orchestra of the town. The main hall is used for concerts. When we sneaked in we caught some Dvorak from the corridor through the closed doors of the hall - the orchestra were rehearsing for the following weekend's concert.
