Double Tree by Hilton: "Seeing Double anyone..." Kuala Lumpur Hotel Tip by lukluk_wal_marjan

Kuala Lumpur Hotels: 832 reviews and 1,138 photos

Again and again...opportunities to stay in a different hotel comes when the usual hotels 'sanctioned' by the company are fully booked by business travelers and/or tourists.

This time I ended up at the quite newly opened hotel i.e. Double Tree by Hilton.

The building was previously occupied with Crown Princess Hotel KL. Their tenure must have ended then and the building has now been fully refurbished.

This hotel located opposite the Ampang Park shopping complex just across Jalan Tun Razak within the INTERMARK Building. I stayed there for 2 nites with my hubby.

Since the hotel is practically new; the room is nicely furnished with King-sized bed. They also have twin bedded rooms. Bath room wall is of see-through glass in case you don't want to miss the movie on the TV. You can still enjoy your private moments by switching the button to roll down the blind otherwise it will be free show to your friends! No problem is its your spouse though :P

Room is equipped with tea/coffee making facilities & complimentary bottled mineral water replenished on daily basis.

Breakfast is served at Makan Kitchen on the 11th Floor. Its also open for lunch & dinner serving varieties of dishes from all over the world. Apart from the usual coffee or tea during breakfast you also have a choice of latte, cappuccino, mocha etc. They would not offer to you but you need to ask - and YES! its complimentary with your buffet breakfast.

Security to the guess room is almost assured since access is by using your own room key card as you entered the elevator/lift.

You will see most if not all of their staff wearing a button badge with "10" on it which means they are striving towards score of 10/10 for the on-line survey which will be send to each checked-out guess. Anything below 10 is considered a failure.

For some reason my score for them was pretty bad as they wrongly spelled my father's name despite I gave them my Identity Card at reception; wrongly informed me on the actual hotel Corporate rate and the chargeable parking for in-house guess :(

But their responses to my answered survey was quick with offer to complimentary upgrade me to Suite during my next stay - which I don't know when :P

Spa is also available - cant comment much as I dont have the opportunity to experience it.

Unique Qualities: You will be welcomed with warm palm-sized Chocolate Cookie at reception.

The pedestrian bridge from the hotel side of the road is connected directly into Ampang Park Shopping Complex. Infront of the Shopping Complex is the entrance to the LRT Kelana Jaya Line
